Originally serving as a hotel, this historic building on Chooktoot Street was once a bustling cornerstone of the community. Built during the height of the lumber industry, it welcomed travelers and workers alike. However, as the lumber market declined, so did the hotel's viability, and it eventually closed its doors. For the last 25 years, the building has remained vacant, standing as a testament to Chiloquin's past. As a small, rural community facing significant housing shortages and a need for growth, Chiloquin now looks toward revitalization, with this building awaiting a new chapter in its story.

We have received grant funding to assist with the restoration the historic Hotel Building in downtown Chiloquin.
